Our Story

Born from three 19th century fishermen’s tenements overlooking what was once a quiet harbour village, The Three Doors reinterprets traditional Maltese living for today.

Set within St. Julian’s historic core, each space preserves its original character while being rebuilt for modern use — designed not as rooms to sleep in, but as spaces to live in.

The Environment

We have made deliberate choices to reduce our environmental impact, even where this introduces small inconveniences. We minimise plastic through reusable glassware and refillable water, coffee and tea.

Laundry is one of the largest environmental costs — a single room load can require up to 60 litres of water. For this reason, linen and towels are refreshed on request or automatically for longer stays, allowing you to opt in while helping reduce unnecessary energy and water use.

Mark Magri

Our Team

The Three Doors is led by Mark Magri, our hotel manager, who ensures everything runs with clarity and consistency. Supporting him is a team that takes a meticulous approach to detail — from housekeeping to daily operations. The focus is simple: spaces that are prepared properly, every time.

If you need anything during your stay, just ask — we are always available to help.

Your Hosts

Welcome to The Three Doors. We are Pier and Matina.

Having lived, worked and travelled extensively across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, we have spent years staying in hotels of every kind. Along the way, we developed a clear view of what works well — and what does not.

The Three Doors was created from that experience: a collection of spaces designed to function properly, allowing you to live, work and settle in comfortably during your time in Malta.

If there is anything you need, please do not hesitate to ask. We also encourage you to explore Malta for what it is — a unique blend of Mediterranean lifestyle, rich history and modern energy.

We hope you enjoy your stay.
