Our Vision

We are Pier and Matina and are delighted to be your hosts. Pier left Malta in his teens to study in British Columbia, Canada. That was the beginning of a journey that lasted over 25 years overseas. He built his career across various industries and worked in several countries.

Pier met Matina in Canada, who had lived many years in Caracas, Munich and Toronto and speaks 5 languages. We returned to Malta in 2007 and, as business change consultants, were constantly travelling the world on client engagements. Shanghai, Boston, Berlin, Riyadh, Dubai, Tripoli, San Fran, Chicago, Vegas,  Zurich and London are some of the places where we have travelled to meet our clients. Matina even spent a year commuting to Jo’burg, South Africa and so we have an intimate knowledge of what works and doesn’t work in a hotel room. 

We’ve balanced business and pleasure throughout our careers and always sought out places where we could enjoy both without breaking the bank. We created The Three Doors around that vision and we hope that you enjoy it.

Like everywhere, no country is perfect, but once you look under the surface, there’s plenty to love about Malta. Over the years Malta has matured to be a cosmopolitan hub with amazing restaurants, events and things to do, However Malta has still retained its unique heritage and traditions, steeped in millennia of history at the crossroads of the Mediterranean - there is so much to see and do, We hope you love it here as much as we do.
